Early Learning Center Environment:
The following is an overview of the Early Childhood Classroom
environment. It has been created as a safe and nurturing place designed
to facilitate learning through play.
1. The Classroom is Christ-Centered. Young children will experience the
love, warmth and happiness that Jesus taught.
2. The Classroom is Child-Centered. It maximizes creativity and enhances
learning opportunities.
3. The Classroom is Literacy Based. Books, stories and songs will help
promote enjoyment of reading, reading readiness and language development
of preschoolers.
4. The Classroom is a "Science-ing" Environment. Young learners will
explore, improvise, experiment and wonder as they play and discover.
5. The Classroom is Musical. With songs that they love, children will
become involved with language and movement experiences.
6. The Classroom is an "Art Studio". A variety of different art
materials will be used to introduce and encourage children to discover
and create.
7. The Classroom fosters responsibility. Preschoolers become more
responsible as they experience success and achieve greater independence.
8. The Classroom capitalizes on children's natural curiosity. By
providing age appropriate activities, children's natural inquisitiveness
will be sparked.
9. The Classroom provides opportunity for problem-solving. Children will
be encouraged to explore solutions and achieve success in their
accomplishments.
10. The Classroom is Family Oriented. We desire to have you involved in
your child's education. Materials designed to foster learning at home
will be shared.
