
Julianne Confalonieri was born in Chicago and raised in the Northwest Suburbs. She attended St. Paul Lutheran Elementary School in Mt. Prospect and William Fremd High School in Palatine.
Julianne received her Bachelor of Science degree from Saint Louis University and Master's degree from Southern Illinois University. Both degrees were in Speech and Language Pathology.
After working in Saint Louis and Wisconsin for a few years, Julianne returned to the Chicago area in 1982 where she worked in a variety of Early Childhood and Pediatric Hospital settings, including South Metropolitan Association, North Suburban Special Education Association and Christ Hospital.
For the past 25 years, she has maintained a private practice in the Western Suburbs for the treatment of pediatric communication disorders. Her specialty areas include childhood speech and language development, feeding problems in children and stuttering.
In 2002, Julianne began teaching early childhood classes for 2 and 3 year olds at Zion Lutheran School in Hinsdale. In 2004, Julianne became the director of the Early Learning Center at Bethel, designing the curriculum and getting the Center licensed and accredited by DCFS. The program at Bethel has grown from 18 students in 2004 to nearly 50 in 2007.
Julianne and her husband, Mike, have been married for 17 years and have one son, Lucas, age 12. They live in Clarendon Hills where they enjoy gardening and community activities.
Julianne has been a member of Bethel for more than 20 years and has previously taught the preschool Sunday school class. Julianne is pleased to have the opportunity to serve some of the youngest members of God's family in the Early Learning Center.
