Here’s some details:

WHERE: at Bethel ~ 36 N. Grant St in Westmont

WHEN: June 18^th - 22^nd  from 9am-12 noon

WHO: Kids who have completed a year of preschool through kids who have finished 6^th grade are welcome to embark on this adventure with us!

REGISTRATION online opens on April 2^nd, 2012 at this website – plan to sign up ASAP – spaces fill up fast and we don’t want your kids to miss this opportunity.

COST: It’s free!

WANT TO HELP PROVIDE FOR VBS?  It’s a big privilege and effort to get our VBS off the ground!  A list of some of our needs will be posted here and updated regularly so that we can pull of a great VBS for our neighborhood kids! Check back and let us know if you can supply any of these things! Thank you!

KIDS HELPING KIDS: If you’d like to respond to what you’ve experienced here at Bethel, we give you that opportunity through Bethel’s “Kids Helping Kids” mission. This year, we will have the chance to once again provide school supplies for some kids in need right here in our neighborhood. We’ll also have the privilege to provide malaria nets for people in Africa through the Lutheran Malaria Initiative! Look for more information on both of these projects in the weeks to come.

Here’s some of what our kids have done through past VBS’s:

·         School supplies for twenty children at Manning Elementary School

·         VBS style party to Twin Lakes to bless families and children with food, face paintings, puppet shows, and story times!

·         Help for children in Northern Vietnam, including:

o   Clean water project for schools

o   Books and supplies for a school

o   A school bathroom

o   Bio-gas apparatus’

o   Help to build a school.
