Our Beliefs

We believe. . .

...in the Triune God - The Father who created all things; the Son who is Jesus and the Holy Spirit who creates and sustains faith in us through the Word and the Sacraments.

...in Jesus Christ, who is true God who was born true man, lived the perfect life, suffer, die for the sins of all human beings and rose to life again in the ultimate victory over death and Satan. Jn 1:1-14; Phil. 2:5-11; Col. 1:13-20

...in the inerrant Word of God found in the Bible. We believe that the Bible is without error and teaches us about God's love for us summed in three phrases: Grace alone, Faith alone and Scripture alone.

Grace Alone - God loves the people the world, even though they are sinful, rebel against Him and does not deserve His love. He sent Jesus, His Son, to love the unlovable and save the ungodly.

Faith Alone - By His suffering and death as the substitute for all people of all time, Jesus purchased and won forgiveness and eternal life for them. Those who hear this GOOD NEWS and believe it have the eternal life that it offers.

Scripture Alone - The Bible is God's inerrant and infallible Word, where He reveals His Will (the Law) and His Love (The Gospel) in Jesus Christ. This is the sole rule and norm for us Christians.

...that the benefits of Christ's sufferings, death and resurrection are delivered to us through the means Jesus chose for us - His Word proclaimed and through the Sacraments (His Sacred Acts) of Baptism and Lord's Supper.

In Baptism we believe we receive the forgiveness of sins in the Word and the Water, and that all people should be baptized no matter what age the person.

In The Lord's Supper we believe that we receive the True Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ in, with and under the ordinary bread and wine in a divine way - The Real Presence of Jesus.
