Bethel Youth Group

We meet Sunday mornings from 9-10am in the Youth Room for HIs & LOs, breakfast treats, prayer requests and Bible study...along with themed games and activities.  See dates below.

For the 2025-26 school year, our theme is  got Jesus? and we will be learning together from the gospel of John in the Bible.  We will study the person of Jesus and learn about his character and life, and teens will learn a simple Bible study method to help them dive deeper into the Bible.  No Bible experience necessary!  Our Memory Verse is John 1:1-18.

We will meet on the FIRST SUNDAY of the MONTH from 6:00-7:30pm in the West Basement.  DESSERT will be served and teens will have a time of Christian fellowship together doing different activities - listed below.

Sunday, December 21 MOVIE & POPCORN

Popcorn with fun toppings will be served while we watch an interactive movie together.  We'll be watching Disney's Prep & Landing and there will be trivia for prizes and mini-activities to do throughout the movie.  This is like the Toy Story fundraiser that we did earlier in the year, but will be just FOR teens!!  Invite some friends to join you...should be lots of fun!

Sunday, February 1 PIZZA & POOCH TOYS

We will be making individual pizzas tonight (provided by the Berghorsts) along with having dessert.  At the same time, we will be making dog toys to donate to local animal shelters.  Bring an old, worn out cotton t-shirt to cut up and make into a dog toy...AND an old tennis ball if you have one.  Here's a video showing what we'll do: DIY Dog Toys

Friday, February 6 REND COLLECTIVE CONCERT   

General admission tickets are still available for purchase for $32.65 at  TicketWeb.  A group from Bethel will carpool at 5:00pm from the parking lot for the 7pm concert at Willow Creek Church in Crystal Lake, IL.  Let Ms Maria know if you purchase a ticket and would like to join our group :)

REND COLLECTIVE CONCERT  Tickets still available if you'd like to go...we'll meet in the Bethel parking lot at 5:00pm to travel to the concert...

NYG 2028 will be held in San Antonio, TX from July 3-7

BYG teens participate in band, jazz band, soccer, dance, golf, tennis, flag football, volleyball, softball, choir, cross country, basketball, and track.

BYG teens are musical and play bass guitar, electric guitar, trumpet, percussion, drum set, saxophone and sing in choir.

13 teens and 4 chaperones attended NYG 2025 in New Orleans, LA in July.  Ask any of them about this amazing trip!

Last school year, the NYG memorized HEBREWS 12:1-3...ask one of them to tell you their favorite part.

3 of our teens are active in Boy Scouts and two of them have attained Eagle Scout...

Our teens attend Westmont High School, Downers Grove South High School, Walther Lutheran, Hinsdale Central and Lisle High School.

Some recent alumni of BYG include: Anna, Lauren, Megan and Nathan.  🩶We miss you!
